Chats
Chat with the wallets you pay.
A payment is usually the start of a conversation. In Morsel, every wallet you send to or receive from can become a chat, encrypted end to end with keys that come from your own wallet. No phone number, no username, no account.

The basics
How a wallet holds a private conversation
You do not need to trust us with your messages. The math that protects your money protects your chats too.
- 01
Your wallet already has a key
The key that signs your transactions can also agree on a shared secret with any other wallet. Morsel uses it to lock each conversation between two addresses.
- 02
Encrypted before it leaves your phone
Messages are sealed on your device. Our servers store and deliver ciphertext they cannot open.
- 03
Strangers wait outside
A wallet you have never paid or saved lands in Message requests, with no links, no GIFs and no reply box until you accept. Receiving money from someone does not count as knowing them.
- 04
Messages never move money
A payment always goes through the normal send review, where you check the amount and sign. A message on its own cannot take anything from your wallet.
Payments
Money and messages in one thread.
Send a payment from the chat, or send a request card that the other wallet can pay in one tap. Every payment between you shows up in the thread, right where it happened.

Expression
Say it the way people do.
Emoji, GIFs and reactions, sent inside the same encrypted messages as your text. Add a private note to a payment when you send it, and it lands in the chat once the transfer confirms.

Requests
Your inbox, your rules.
New wallets ask first. Accept to start talking, or leave the request where it is. Until you accept, they can send a few plain messages and nothing else.

-
Keys from your wallet
No phone number, email or username to tie to you.
-
Ciphertext on our servers
We deliver messages we cannot read.
-
Pay and request
Payment cards live inside the conversation.
-
Previews on your phone
Notification text is decrypted on the phone, never on our servers.
Questions
Can Morsel read my messages?
No. Each conversation is encrypted on your device with a key that only your wallet and the other wallet can work out. Our servers store and pass along encrypted data.
Who can message me?
Wallets you have paid or saved can message you directly. Anyone else lands in Message requests, without links or GIFs, until you accept.
Does a message cost a network fee?
No. Messages are not transactions and never touch the chain. Payments you make from a chat cost the normal network fee, shown before you sign.
Can I chat with a wallet I only watch?
No. Reading and writing a chat needs the wallet's own key, so a watched wallet shows its payments but not its messages.
