Security
Your keys never leave your device.
Morsel is self-custody. Your recovery phrase and keys are created on your phone, encrypted there and never sent to us. There is no account to break into and no email to phish.

The basics
What self-custody means
In a self-custody wallet, nobody stands between you and your money. That is the point, and it is why the careful parts matter.
- 01
You hold the keys
Your recovery phrase is the wallet. Whoever has it controls the funds, so it never leaves your device.
- 02
Back it up once
Write the phrase down on paper and keep it offline. Morsel walks you through it.
- 03
Locked by default
A password, Face ID or fingerprint, and auto-lock after 1 to 30 minutes away.
- 04
Checked before you sign
Transactions from apps are simulated so you see what they do first.
Checks
Know what you are holding.
Tokens Morsel has checked carry a Verified badge, and established ecosystem tokens a Known one. Token details show whether anyone can still mint more or freeze it, and Manage tokens warns you in amber about suspicious ones. Known phishing sites are blocked, and unverified NFTs wait in Hidden.

-

Questions
What if I lose my phone?
Install Morsel on a new device and restore with your recovery phrase. Without the phrase nobody can restore the wallet, including us.
Will Morsel ever ask for my recovery phrase?
Never. Nobody from Morsel will ask for it, in support or anywhere else. Anyone who does is trying to steal from you.
