Spam & Hidden Assets

How Morsel detects and filters spam tokens and NFTs, and how to manage hidden assets.

Wallets regularly receive unsolicited tokens and NFTs from scammers. Morsel automatically detects and hides most spam — this guide explains how it works and how to manage it.

Automatic Spam Detection

Morsel analyses every asset in your wallet and hides those that match spam signals:

  • Tokens with no name, no symbol, or no verified metadata
  • NFTs with a URL in the name (common scam pattern)
  • NFTs airdropped at scale with no primary sale history and no verified collection
  • Tokens or NFTs that have been flagged by the community
Spam detection is automatic and local — Morsel does not send your asset list to any server to check.

Hidden Tokens

Tokens that are hidden — either automatically or manually — appear in the Hidden section of the Manage Tokens screen.

  1. Go to your token list
  2. Tap Manage Tokens
  3. Scroll to the Hidden section to see all hidden tokens
  4. Tap Show to make a hidden token visible again

Hidden NFTs

Hidden NFTs appear in the Hidden tab at the bottom of the NFTs screen.

  1. Open the NFTs tab
  2. Scroll to the bottom — tap Show Hidden to expand the hidden section
  3. Tap an NFT to view it, or tap Unhide to move it back to your main gallery

Manually Hiding Assets

You can manually hide any token or NFT even if it is not flagged as spam:

  • Tokens: Tap Manage Tokens → tap the hide button next to the token
  • NFTs: Open the NFT → tap the three-dot menu → Hide

Do Not Interact with Spam

Never approve a transaction from a dApp that claims you need to interact with a spam token to claim a reward. This is almost always a wallet drainer. If you did not buy something, you do not need to claim it.

Reporting Spam

If you receive a token or NFT you believe is spam and it is not being automatically filtered, you can report it:

  1. Open the asset detail screen
  2. Tap the three-dot menu
  3. Tap Report Spam
